Pottery rouses mental and physical activity, thus channeling the flow of energy. The Pottery Studio at Ecoville allows you to escape the worries of life and shift your focus towards your creation. Express yourself by creating something amazing. Embark on a new journey, learn new techniques and create masterpieces that will last a lifetime.

Making something by hand is the most fulfilling thing there is. In this soothing pottery class, feel the wet clay take form as your fingers gently guide its motion. This is an interactive session with our skilled potter, who will provide a hands-on understanding of the craft.

Get to learn from a senior pottery artist over a sessions of 2.5 hours.

Hand building in pottery is a method of creating ceramic pieces using only your hands and simple tools, without the aid of a pottery wheel. It’s an ancient technique that allows for a more direct and organic approach to shaping clay.
There are several popular hand-building techniques:
* Pinch pottery: This involves starting with a ball of clay and pinching it between your fingers to create a vessel. It’s a great technique for beginners and allows for unique, organic shapes.
* Coil building: This method uses long, rolled-out coils of clay that are stacked and joined together to form the desired shape. It’s often used to create larger or more complex pieces.
* Slab building: This technique involves rolling out clay into flat slabs, which can then be cut and joined to create various forms. It’s ideal for making angular or geometric shapes.
Hand building offers a wide range of creative possibilities and is a great way to connect with the clay on a more personal level.
